Personal | The In-Loves

As I crouch down on my knees, I pinch myself for the so-manieth time.

Involuntarily, because it’s not my intention to jam my hand into a pile of LEGO. But hey, I go where love takes me.

And today that is to the floor, accompanied by heaps of LEGO in plastic containers – one of which I have just upturned, to find that one piece my boyfriend is after.

“I found it!”

Triumphantly I jump up from the carpet and wince again as I – OUCH – enthusiastically hop onto another stray brick.

My boyfriend looks at me happily and gives me a kiss.

His mother watches us tenderly.

“Well done, you two,” she says, “Well done.”
